how much is a normal trumpet worth?
Q: i want to buy one and no how much it worth
A: I have played the trumpet for 19 years, and my grandfather is an instrument repairman. I play a Benge trumpet from 1970 that still sounds terrific, but would probably only go for about $500-$700 resale. If you are just learning, I would look on ebay for a brand that has been around awhile and not spend more than $200-300, used and in good shape (few dents, smooth operating valves, no slides stuck). Conn, Yamaha, and Bach are a few good names, but there are many. You may find one even cheaper. Then again, you can spend thousands on a brand new trumpet that will probably sound superb-after you've practiced for about 6 or 7 years! Good luck.

It ranges from $200 dollars for the cheapest and poor in quality to about $1000 or more...depends what you want to get. I'd say about $400-$500 though.
