How much is my Emerson flute worth?

Q: I have an Emerson flute that I want to find out how much is worth.

I'm going to take it to my local instrument seller to get it appraised, but I also wanted to know if there are any other resources for discovering it's value or if that's the best way to go.

A: Get it apprasied and sell it on ebay. That is where you can sell it the fastest. At least, you will get a very good reponse and a good idea of what you can really get for it.

As for the first poster with the price, they are dead wrong. Not even close as to what it is really worth. Emerson flute are great flutes and start at $450 up to $4000.

edit...as for you Mamiamka, I can do without your insults. I bought Sinatra box sets at $900 which I don't think it is cheap for a collection or Elvis at $1200.
Nothing cheap there. I even purchased an old 62' Fender strat for $1400. Cheap ? What is cheap to you ? Ebay is the bet place for bargains. By the time the person spends money getting it appraised , that is something he will never get back. If the instrument is worth anything, ebay buyers love to bid on that stuff. He can set a reserved price so he / she won't lose anything.
....and for the record, my links are more than just okay links. I don't have to play flute or piano to know the value. SOld enought of them to know certain things on the subject. I may look stupid but, far from it.
